Black Kitten

The typist has been complaining about the challenges of taking pictures of Black kittens.  As you can see they are actually many colours  but their features all tend to blend together in most light.

When you can actually see them - they are pretty darn cute!

Litter I born September 10, 2012

I'm proud to say that I now have 7 beautiful grandchildren that will be 5 wks old tomorrow.  There are four classic tabbies boys, two black girls and one black girl.  My beautiful daughter Anna is doing a great job of mothering this every hungry gang.

You can see what beautiful bright-eyed beauties they've become.  They are starting to explore outside their basket and there will be more pictures soon of playful antics.

Chunky Monkeys

Well Litter H is certainly growing up quickly.  At three weeks they are quite the little butterballs who are starting to move about and play, play, play.  Hence the name Chunky Monkeys!

Their mother Elina continues to be an excellent mother who feeds her kittens well.  They have been gaining 15-25 gms per day. This week they will probably be venturing out of their home basket so we should have some action photos for the next post.

Hope you enjoy my cute grandbabies as much as I do.

Murlyka Dainty Bess (Kaede) and Murlyka Distant Drums (Karumi)

Just over 2 years ago Prekrasne Roxie Hart of Murlyka and my son Sasha had an amazing litter of 7 kittens.  These two beautiful girls from that litter went to the lower Mainland to live with Karou and her husband.  They fittingly received Japanese names Kaede (Maple tree) and Kurumi (Walnut tree).

They were best buddies then and remain best buddies at 2 years old.

Just checking - no bugs in the bathtub!

Karou reports that they are wonderful girls, who love to chat and trill and bug catchers extrordinarie1
